Gallery One of a kind, foldable Aluminium platform Designed, Engineered, drafted and fabricated all at wash steel fabrication. Thanks to both, the engineering and fabrication team members who executed the project. More photos to come when we fit to the crane and wire it in. Walsh Steel Fabrication rigging and fitting services, Swapping out beams using a 50t mobile crane with the flooring removed through multiple levels ******EDIT UPDATE*********** The finished product of a 500t spreader beam assembly. (see painted Picture) The machined lugs and sleeves were trial fitted with the 250mm pins with no issues. A small clearance of 0.5mm was achieved by deceiving the welding and accurate fabrication techniques. Thanks to Tom and Dharma who managed the project from start to finish. **ORIGINAL POST BELOW** Walsh steel fabrication preparing plates and prefabricated items for the delivery of a 500t lifting frame. Total weight of fabricated steel is 34t. Welding procedures and qualified welding personnel approved for fabrication. We are using submerged arc and flux core welding on this one! We will be posting pics of the whole progress right to commissioning! Four complete limit sensor units being packaged prior to shipment. We have fabricated the structural and machined the housing all under one roof at our facility in Cockburn Walsh steel fabrication offers both local fabrication and a site crew that travels nationally. Here platforms are being loaded at our workshop and then sent to Port Hedland for the site crew to install. All welders at Walsh steel fabrication are tested at regular intervals in accordance with each and every welding standard we are working to. Here are some test coupons ready to be sent to the NATA accredited testing laboratory for both Macro examination and radiography. We have had the first lot of reports come through and it looks like the guys know what they are doing, passing with flying colours. !! Walsh Steel Fabrication with the fabrication and installation of pump skids, piping, platforms and handrails along with a free standing wash down station. This project was led by Rain Consulting who engage us to execute the structural/ Mechanical/Piping fabrication and installation. Thanks to Michael & Dharma who spent their time installing all the parts. Another fabricated item from Walsh Steel fabrication. Wall mounted jib crane being sent North bound. Machined and fabricated by Jonathan Oxley Walsh Steel Fabrication at another this week out in the goldfields. A team of 12 consisting of boilermakers, welders and spotters successfully completed scheduled maintenance on the crane runway of three buildings. We had day and night shift working hard to stick to the deadlines and reduce downtime for the site. Walsh steel fabrication working on two 31m cranes. We have 6 boilermakers working overlapping shifts to turn these around by the end of the week. Walsh steel fabrication site team executed another project last week. The roof, crane and crane rail was replaced as part of the scheduled maintenance program. While we were at it we have replaced all structural bolts, rail clips and packed the runway to standard. The structure was blasted, painted and will be in good nick for another 20 years. Walsh steel fabrication assisting with some water bag load testing! North of 70t! That’s 70,000 liters. We had these filled within 2 hours and emptied in less than 20 minutes. Walsh steel fabrication doing some connection mods on an overhead crane in the Pilbara! Cracked welds were forming on the original connection design so the decision was made to change to a bolted connection plate and repair the cracks. Removal of the crane, cutting and welding the new connection plate,NDT of both the repaired cracks and new welds and then installation. All done in 3 days to schedule. Thanks to the two gun boilermakers who just may be the best around! Walsh steel fabrication workshop with a couple of projects on the go! Fit out and commissioning of two mobile access platforms nearly complete and ready for our site crew to install. These will require onsite modification to existing structures and installation in an operational area during a shut down with crucial time frames. This has taken about 9 months planning from start to finish! We also have a 10t crane girder being fabricated and some smaller fabricated parts for some other clients. Walsh steel fabrication with some photos from a job we completed in 2016. Walsh steel fabrication with a simple installation of handrail on an overhead crane access platform using some new clamped connection brackets. This was done to comply with handrail height standards. We offer complete solutions in Design, fabrication and installation work. Walsh steel fabrication doing some crack repairs to the head frame on one of the many forklifts down here today Walsh steel fab completed a new freestanding runway and crane build. We supplied the fabrication and installation for our long term customer. We looked after all aspects of the job and executed the project on time and safely complying to all site OH&S policies and procedures. Thanks to Josh and Tom & Mick. We make returns, elbows and any combined shape required up to 50mm diameter. This machine is very quick and makes light work of the 200 plus bends we have to do. Sick of having half boxes of bolts laying around eventually ending up in the skip? Make racks for them.
